​​Entertaining Local Knowle's Purpose
Overall
• To be a non-profit making community resource to arts and performance related activities that have little or no presence elsewhere in Knowle.
​
• To provide enjoyable events and activities for different age groups, at a reasonable cost and working in partnership with other organisations.
​
• To meet with like-minded people, taking pleasure in the aims and outcomes of Entertaining Local Knowle.
It will pursue this goal by
- providing high quality/’professional’ events that match those experienced in The Alma Tavern Theatre, The Brewery and similar standard art/arts venues in the city.
​
- facilitating other individuals/organisations to present performance/art(s) events.
​
- recruiting other possible Entertaining Local Knowle members, publicising events and attracting audiences through social/other media and/or face-to-face.
​
- incorporating a social element to its activities when appropriate.
​
- carefully considering entry fee to events, taking into account all costs and risk factors.
​
- providing some free events when funds allow.
