ENTERTAINING LOCAL KNOWLE was formed in 2012 by 6 local residents - Annabel Glassby, Bob Havard, Sue Davies, Rachel Heaton, Teresa Beeley and Jenny Jones.

This followed a hugely successful project called Trading Local Knowle working with Bristol's 'Show of Strength Theatre Company'. Short plays by local writers were performed in local shops. Around 1000 people saw the shows. We discovered  that bringing professional arts, performance and entertainment to Knowle was fun, interesting and exciting.

Our first production 'Keep Smiling Through' by the Ministry of Entertainment sold out in 2 weeks. Feedback showed that local people wanted what we were offering, so Entertaining Local Knowle was born. We operate as the  Events Team of Redcatch Community Association based at Redcatch Community Center. We also plan to use other venues, including Redcatch Park.

We aim to bring as wide a range of quality events to Knowle as we can organise, appealing to all ages. As a not-for-profit  group we are able to offer events and activities at affordable prices. We hope to become an important part of the community scene in Knowle.
